The project involves the construction of an engineering structure to connect the X20 road to the Chinese track in the governorate of Mannouba. This infrastructure includes the construction of five slip roads, as well as stormwater management systems connected to the existing wadi (dry riverbed). The X20 road has two lanes in each direction, with 8-meter-wide carriageways and a 12-meter-wide central reservation. The Djebel Ammar road has two two-way lanes, a 5-meter-wide carriageway, and a 2-meter-wide shoulder. A bridge perpendicular to the X20, 64.15 meters long and 11.8 meters wide, has been constructed.
