Transfer of Desalinated Seawater from SDEM ZARAT to Gabes and Southern Tunisia Lot 1

The project consists of constructing the infrastructure for transporting potable water produced by the Zarat desalination plant to the regions of Gabes and southern Tunisia. It includes the supply, transport, installation, and testing of large-diameter pipelines, as well as the construction of essential standard structures for the operation of the transfer network.

Scope of work:
  • General earthworks: Preparation of trenches and sites for pipeline and structure installation.
  • Supply and installation of pipes: Installation of DN 800 mm prestressed concrete and ductile iron pipes along the entire route.
  • Pipeline equipment and connections: Installation of valves, joints, manholes, and other accessories necessary for proper network operation.
  • Construction of standard structures: Building specific structures such as high points (for air purging) and low points (for draining).
  • Pipeline testing: Tightness and pressure tests to ensure network integrity.
