TUNIS CITY GÉANT - SHOPPING AND LEISURE CENTER

Construction project of the Tunis City Géant Shopping and Leisure Center, which houses a Géant hypermarket covering 12,000 m², a lively shopping gallery with more than 80 stores, an area for eight fast-food outlets, a parking lot with 2,500 spaces, and a children's playground.

Scope of work:

- Earthworks
- Deep foundation works
- Reinforced concrete work in elevation
- Installation of prefabricated elements
- Manufacture and installation of facade elements

Project specifics:

Due to the short completion time (11 months), several techniques were used to significantly save time for the structure lot:
- - A variant with prefabricated beams combined with a floor made of pre-slabs and a compression slab poured on-site
- - Replacement of foundation shafts with short cast-in-place piles
- - Facades were made in GRC (Glass Reinforced Concrete) instead of the originally planned Thala marble
